When you arrive at Apex, our friendly staff will greet you and guide you through the process. You’ll begin by filling out the necessary forms, which will provide your doctor with important information about your health history and the details of your current condition.
A Chiropractic Assistant will escort you to the examination room, take your vital signs, and have you change into a gown in preparation for your consultation. Your doctor will then meet with you to discuss your current health concerns, past injuries or conditions, and any other factors that may be influencing your health, such as diet, work environment, and stress levels.
With your consent, your doctor will perform a comprehensive physical examination. This will include a gentle palpation of your spinal joints, assessing your range of motion, performing orthopedic and neurologic tests, and evaluating your posture.
Next, your doctor will introduce you to our Surface EMG and Thermography scanner—a completely painless and safe diagnostic tool. This scan helps identify areas of muscle imbalance, nerve interference, and inflammation at various levels of your spine.
After reviewing the information gathered from your examination, scans, and any X-rays, your doctor will establish a working diagnosis. At the end of this visit, your doctor will schedule a follow-up appointment within one to two days. This time will allow your doctor to carefully review your results and develop a personalized care plan, which will be presented to you during your next visit.
